Behind the guide
Privacy & Browser Storage
How this website handles quiz answers, reader questions, browser preferences, and the links you choose to follow.
Your quiz stays in your browser
Scoring runs on your device. The site does not send quiz answers to a database or an AI service, and does not request your name, email address, birthday, or an account.
When available, sessionStorage stores unfinished answers, the current question, the question-set version, and a completed result’s dimension summary for this tab. Use “Clear progress & start again” or “Retake Quiz” to remove quiz progress. Closing the tab normally ends its session storage. If storage is blocked, the quiz can still run in memory.
Questions, replies, and essential cookies
Submitting a question sends your display name (or the default nickname), question, and spoiler scope to this site’s server. They are stored in a SQLite database. Questions remain private until the maintainer publishes a reply. Published display names, questions, and replies can be read by anyone. Please do not submit personal, account, or sensitive information.
A short-lived, random visitor cookie helps limit repeated submissions. It is not used for analytics or advertising. Administrator sign-in uses an essential HttpOnly session cookie that expires after eight hours; session tokens are stored in hashed form. Only the authenticated maintainer can see unpublished questions or change replies.
Questions and replies are kept until the maintainer deletes them. To request removal, email the address on the Contact page and identify the question. No email notification service is connected. Our quiz answers continue to stay entirely in your browser.
Spoilers and sharing
Your spoiler choice is held for this tab in sessionStorage when available. Each relationship can also be opened individually. The shared result URL contains an archetype identifier only; it does not contain answers or scores.
Copying a result link uses the clipboard only after you press the copy button. Native sharing uses your device’s share dialog only after you press Share Result.
No advertising or analytics scripts
This build includes no ad network, analytics tracker, email subscription service, external fonts, or third-party image requests. Assets are served locally with the website.
The eventual hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, and browser headers to serve and secure the site. Its identity and applicable policy should be added when public hosting is selected.
When you leave the field guide
Official links lead to other websites with their own terms and privacy practices. An email you enter on Dragonkind is handled by that site, not this one. We do not control or receive it.
Privacy or storage questions can be directed through the contact page. The listed behavior reflects this build; new services require a corresponding update.
